Faces of Palacký or Creating Live

The opening of an exhibition of works and a happening where the artworks were created right in front of the audience. Invited authors and artists created live on the theme of the personality of František Palacký. The title Faces of Palacký was chosen as an abstract concept, encompassing everything that can be even remotely related to the personality of the famous Czech statesman and historian. The event was organised by the student association Studium Artium with the support of the university administration.
The programme also included the presentation of new university colouring books on the theme of the 450th anniversary of UP by our alumni from the art collective Chaos Company.
Ceremonial mass

The jubilee commemorations were given a spiritual dimension by a ceremonial mass in the Baroque Church of Our Lady of the Snows, built in the 18th century by Jesuit representatives of the University of Olomouc.
The service was held by Mons. Jan Graubner, Archbishop of Prague and Primate of Bohemia, who was for many years, the Grand Chancellor of the Cyril and Methodius Theological Faculty and a member of the UP Board of Trustees.
